Ace Home Center was originally New Martinsville Supply and opened in the early 1900s on Linden ave. in New Martinsville. It was purchased by Carl Perkins in 1976 as he saw a need to expand on what was available in the area. Also in 1976 Carl’s daughter Carla and her husband Dave Parks came to run the store. In 1978 Ace Hardware Co came aboard as the primary hardware supplier and over the years under the Perkins/Parks family the business has evolved from one small hardware store into two locations (the original in New Martinsville and another added 1999 in Pennsboro W.V.), carrying not only hardware but a full line of building material, lawn and garden, industrial supplies and a wide variety of power equipment as well as a tool rental department. And currently they have leaped from a small workforce of 3 to well over 100 employees. Now with the next generation of the Parks coming along to join in they have kept the word Family in the “Family Business”. The goal of Ace Home Center (New Martinsville Supply) has always been and will always be “Give the customer Good service and a Good product at a Fair price!
